Magoffin County Middle School Football Weight Lifting for the 2023 season has begun!
Attention all 6th Graders going to Middle School Next Year, and 7th Graders moving up to 8th grade.
The HWMS School Football Team would like you to start weight training if you are interested in playing Football for the 2023 season.
Head Coach Robert Bailey and Assistant Coach Johnathan Howard would like to invite all kids interested in playing Football to go ahead and start weight training.
We are striving to make Magoffin County a competitive Football Team in the future. The only way to do that is to get kids interested in joining the gym.
Weight Training will not only build confidence but keep kids from getting injuries on the Football Field. The Stronger you become the harder it is to become really hurt.
Football is a Contact sport and we need to prepare these kids not only for the High School football level but prepare them for real life. Building confidence is a good way to do that on and off the football field. Weightlifting is extremely important and as far as we know, Middle School has never had a weightlifting program until now.
8th Graders going to High-School next year are welcome to lift with us as well. But, we encourage them to lift with the High-School team which is from 3:30 P.M. – 4:30 P.M. 6th and 7th graders are welcome to go to it as well.
When is weight lifting?
