Floyd Central High School says a student reported a possible threat to a teacher near the end of the school day Monday, prompting an immediate response from administrators and the school resource officer. According to the school, the student alleged to have made the threat was kept in the office until a parent or guardian arrived, then suspended and prohibited from being on Floyd County Schools property. The SRO continued investigating and gathered additional information from possible student witnesses. The school says the SRO is working with the County Attorney’s Office to determine what, if any, further action is appropriate.
