A mother and grandfather are facing charges after authorities reported finding three young children living in what police described as deplorable conditions at a Prestonsburg home. According to Prestonsburg Police, officers assisting another agency at a Dixon Road residence found animal feces and cockroaches throughout the home, no working restroom and holes in the floor exposing the ground beneath the structure. Police said 2-year-old twins and a 13-year-old boy were living there. The children’s mother, Jennifer Marsillett, 44, and grandfather, Jimmy Marsillett, 74, both of Prestonsburg, were arrested and charged with second-degree wanton endangerment.
