The Johnson Central High School Honor Choir has been selected to perform during the 2026 White House Holiday Open House in Washington, D.C. According to the school, the Honor Choir was selected from more than 1,000 applications from across the country. Students will perform two hours of Christmas music during the holiday celebration, representing Johnson Central, Johnson County and Kentucky at the White House. The trip will give the students an opportunity to take a piece of Eastern Kentucky’s musical tradition and Christmas spirit to the nation’s capital.
