Eastern Light Distilling has announced a new $23.1 million investment in its facility under construction in Morehead, bringing the project beyond its $60 million financing goal. The 50,000-square-foot facility is expected to begin operations in late 2027 and become one of Kentucky’s largest dedicated contract distilleries, producing whiskey for other brands. Founded in 2024, the company has also secured USDA-backed financing through Magnolia Bank and additional funding through Avrio CleanFund.
