An investigation is underway after a federal inmate was allegedly attacked by other inmates Wednesday at the Pike County Detention Center. Jailer Brian Morris told WYMT the inmate received three stitches following the incident. He said the inmates allegedly involved have been placed in isolation, while deputies searched the jail and determined the facility was safe. Morris said federal authorities are investigating and that potential assault charges could follow.
