Four adults were taken into custody after a traffic stop in Magoffin County early Friday morning led deputies to seize suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine and used syringes. According to the Magoffin County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Neil Watson and Deputy Tyler Lafferty stopped a vehicle carrying four adults and a small child. Deputies reported finding a used, uncapped syringe next to the child, who was seated in a car seat. DSS was notified, and the child was taken to an emergency room for evaluation. All four adults were transported to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
