Kayla J. Helton of Salyersville is facing a terroristic threatening charge after the Magoffin County Sheriff’s Department received a report concerning alleged threats involving her children. According to the citation, a man told a deputy that Helton had allegedly stated she wanted to harm her children. The deputy reported reviewing messages allegedly sent by Helton that included a threat to burn a house with her children inside. The citation states Helton’s mother also provided a message concerning getting the children out of the home.
