Kentucky State Police have released additional details about Tuesday morning’s three-vehicle crash on Kentucky Route 80 in the Martin community that claimed the lives of two people. According to KSP’s preliminary investigation, Kimberly Akers was traveling eastbound when her Chevrolet SUV crossed the median and struck a Mazda SUV driven by Andrea Conn. The impact caused Conn’s vehicle to then strike a Ford van driven by Caleb Sizemore. Akers and Conn were both pronounced dead at the scene by the Floyd County Coroner’s Office. The collision remains under investigation by KSP Accident Reconstructionist Detective Matthew Smith.
