Paintsville-Johnson County Emergency Management says maintenance will be performed on outdoor warning sirens across the city and county on Tuesday, Oct. 6. Residents may hear sirens sound briefly throughout the day as crews conduct testing. Officials say an actual emergency activation would last 2 to 3 minutes. No severe weather is currently forecast for the area.
