The Appalachian Citizens’ Law Center is urging Kentucky Power customers to review their bills for a state sales tax charge that the group says may have been applied to some primary residences in error. Customers who believe they were charged incorrectly can contact Kentucky Power at 800-572-1113. The group also says customers may file a complaint with the Kentucky Public Service Commission at 800-772-4636. The example shared by the organization shows a $13.04 state sales tax charge on a residential bill.
