The Johnson County Fiscal Court and contractor GSI, Inc. are scheduled to begin an upper wall removal project on Stonecoal Road, off KY 172, on Monday, Oct. 12. The work will involve removing sediment above a previous repair site and is expected to continue for approximately 25 days, weather permitting. Residents and service traffic will need to use McKenzie Branch and Joe’s Creek (KY 689) as alternate routes. The contractor will accommodate school bus routes during the project.
