A traffic stop on the Mountain Parkway led to the seizure of approximately 23 grams of suspected methamphetamine, according to the Magoffin County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Neil Watson stopped a vehicle after observing a damaged windshield and an unilluminated rear license plate. The Sheriff’s Office said the driver consented to a search, and suspected methamphetamine fell from the driver’s clothing as he exited the vehicle. The driver was taken into custody and transported to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center. The Sheriff’s Office did not identify the driver or list specific charges in its release.
