The Floyd County Sheriff’s Department says Franklin Jamar Brooks of Lexington was arrested after deputies attempted a traffic stop on KY 114 and the driver allegedly fled. Deputies said items thrown from the vehicle during the pursuit were later recovered and determined to include fentanyl. Additional suspected fentanyl and drug paraphernalia were reportedly found inside the vehicle. Brooks was charged with: • Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st (Fentanyl) • Three counts of Wanton Endangerment • 1st degree Fleeing and Evading • Resisting Arrest • Traffic violations Brooks was lodged in the Floyd County Jail.
