Kentuckians who do not have an acceptable form of identification for voting may be eligible to receive a Voter ID card at no cost ahead of the Nov. 3 General Election. According to Gov. Andy Beshear’s office, applicants must be registered to vote in Kentucky, or register when applying, lack another acceptable form of state-issued identification, and provide required documentation such as a birth certificate, Social Security card and proof of residency. The state is encouraging eligible voters who need identification to make arrangements before Election Day.
