💰 MORE THAN $5 MILLION IN AMLER FUNDING HEADED TO JOHNSON, OWSLEY AND PIKE COUNTIES

Gov. Andy Beshear and Congressman Hal Rogers announced more than $22 million in Abandoned Mine Lands Economic Revitalization funding for Eastern Kentucky, including more than $5.1 million for projects in Appalachia Insider’s coverage area.
• Johnson County: $2.9 million for expanded nursing and agriculture programs at the Johnson Central Career and Technical Center
• Owsley County: $1.64 million for three new executive cabins at the Sag Hollow development in Booneville
• Pike County: $600,000 for a build-ready pad at Wolfpit Industrial Park
The Johnson County project is expected to expand hands-on training for students in healthcare and agriculture, while the Owsley and Pike County projects are aimed at tourism and future economic development.
