Firefighters from Allen Volunteer Fire Department and Cow Creek Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire on Rene Lane, just off KY 194 in the Cow Creek area of Prestonsburg, Friday. According to Allen Fire Department, the residence was fully engulfed in flames when the first fire engine arrived. Crews began firefighting operations, using approximately 12 gallons of firefighting foam. Big Sandy RECC was also notified. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire has not been released.
