Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) has begun installing advanced security screening technology across its hospital system as part of a multimillion-dollar investment in patient, visitor and employee safety. According to ARH, the rollout includes installations at Beckley, Summers County and Tug Valley facilities, with Hazard ARH and Highlands ARH Regional Medical Centers also scheduled to receive the new equipment. The installations are part of a broader security initiative ARH says has been in development for nearly two years.
