First responders across Floyd County came together Sunday, October 18, to honor retired Prestonsburg Fire Department Lieutenant Tim Johnson, escorting him home from Louisville. The procession began at the Mountain Arts Center and continued to Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home in Martin, where funeral arrangements will be made. Participating agencies included the Prestonsburg, Allen, Martin, Auxier and Middle Creek fire departments, Floyd County Emergency & Rescue Squad, and Prestonsburg Police Department. The escort served as a final tribute to Lieutenant Johnson and his years of service to the community. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and fellow firefighters.
